U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command San Diego participate in a shipboard litter bearer training aboard the Freedom-class littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS-3), June 16. The evolution was part of Mercy Exercise (MERCEX) 26-3, a quarterly exercise strengthening critical integration and readiness between reduced operating status (ROS) and full operating status (FOS) USNS Mercy Sailors, supporting Navy Medicine’s line of effort to deliver and sustain ready naval medical forces. NMRTC San Diego supports Navy and Marine Corps readiness by ensuring its medical forces are ready to deploy and provide medical support, ashore or at sea.
