SAN DIEGO (June 10, 2026) Rachel Markwald, a senior physiologist of Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) briefs Adm. Karl Thomas, commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command on the current roll-out of wearables devices used in the Command Readiness, Endurance, and Watchstanding (CREW) System. CREW is a Navy-developed wearable technology designed to monitor and manage fatigue in operational environments, particularly for sailors and other service members. NHRC, part of Navy Medicine Research & Development, supports Navy, Marine Corps and joint U.S. warfighter health readiness and lethality with research and development that delivers high-value, high-impact solutions to the health and readiness challenges that the U.S. military population faces on the battlefield, at-sea, home and abroad.
