Sailors assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) San Diego participate in the annual Corpsman Cup Challenge at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), June 12. Held in honor of the U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman rate's birthday, the Corpsman Cup Challenge tests the teamwork, physical endurance, and readiness of Sailors through various competition events, including a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Obstacle Course, knowledge test, stretcher relay race, float ops, and tug of war. NMCSD employs more than 5,500 active-duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to deliver exceptional care afloat and ashore.
