Vice Adm. Douglas L. Williams (left) relieves Vice Adm. Johnny Wolfe Jr. (right) as the Director for Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) in Washington D.C., on June 12, 2026. Williams assumes command of PAE SSP as the 15th director in program history. Wolfe, who led PAE SSP for more than eight years, is retiring from the Navy after devoting more than 38 years to active-duty service.
