Overhead announcements, individual alerts and other methods were used to notify staff, patients, and visitors to take shelter at Munson Army Health Center during a simulated tornado warning during Fort Leavenworth’s full-scale exercise, June 10. The exercise served as a timely reminder of the importance of severe weather readiness, as Fort Leavenworth was placed under an actual tornado watch later that afternoon as severe weather continues in the region.
