U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Darren Spencer, a radio operator assigned to 3rd Littoral Combat Team, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, fires an MK-22 multi-role adaptive-design sniper rifle at simulated targets at Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, June 2, 2026. Developed in coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the range enabled Marines to integrate reconnaissance and precision targeting capabilities while improving small-unit proficiency. Opportunities to train in the Philippines enhance readiness and improve the ability of allied forces to operate together in support together in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
