Eighth Army Soldiers and KATUSAs stand in formation before beginning the "Run Across the Peninsula" to kick off the command's annual KATUSA Friendship Week on Camp Humphreys, South Korea, June 8, 2026. KATUSA Friendship Week features sporting and cultural events honoring the KATUSA program. During the Korean War, approximately 23,000 Korean Augmentation to The U.S. Army served at any one time supporting U.S. Army units.
