EPW2 transforms from an open field into a working, sustainable Forward Operating Base, complete with living quarters, portable field showers, Mobile Kitchen Trailers and Tactical Operation Centers. EPW2 is one of six FOBs participating in Warrior Exercise 86 at Fort McCoy, Wis., and houses approximately 23 of the over 60 units participating in the exercise. EPW2’s 601 Service Members come from various military occupations and are responsible for everything from firefighting to base sustainment operations. WAREX 86 is a cooperative training exercise between Army, Navy and Air Force Reserves, and consists of approximately 60 units from across the United States and territories. The exercise encourages unit staff officers to participate in the Military Decision Making Process and to allow their Service Members to improve warrior skills in preparation for possible deployment.
