Area IV U.S. Army Soldiers put their skills to the test during the first-ever Norwegian Sharpshooter Pistol Range, hosted by the 84th Ordnance Company, 6th Ordnance Battalion, at the Camp Carroll Range on June 4.
This one-day qualification challenged Soldiers to master the M17 pistol on a 25 meter range as they worked to earn the coveted Norwegian Sharpshooter Badge.
The course tested precision, speed, weapons handling, and the ability to perform under pressure—all under official Norwegian Armed Forces standards.
A total of 58 Soldiers earned badges: 34 Silver Badges and 24 Bronze Badges.
By completing this event, Soldiers strengthened their marksmanship skills, reinforced weapons safety, and increased multinational interoperability in a controlled, high intensity environment.
