On June 8, 2026, musicians from “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band supported the funeral for Brig. Gen. Jerome Hagen at Arlington National Cemetery. Brig. Gen. Hagen served 30 years in the Marine Corps, including two tours of duty in Vietnam where he flew 486 combat sorties. He was awarded the Silver Star Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross, two Bronze Star Medals, and numerous Air Medals prior to his retirement in 1982.
