U.S. Airmen with the U.S. Air Forces Europe and Air Forces Africa Band Brass Ensemble perform during a ceremony at the Normandy French Resistance Monument in Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, France on June 5, 2026. The ceremony honored French Resistance members who were instrumental in the success of Operation Overlord and the liberation of Europe. From June 2-7, 2026, service members with the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force and Marine Corps joined service members from Allied nations to pay tribute to the historic legacy of D-Day and the enduring values of freedom and unity it represents 82 years later.
