    621st Contingency Response Wing

    U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Christian Mendez Villanueva, 821st Contingency Response Squadron Radar, Airfield and Weather Systems (RAWS) specialist, operates equipment on the perimeter of the simulated forward operating base during Exercise Turbo Distribution 26-2 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, May 23, 2026. RAWS specialists are responsible for maintaining the electronic equipment that tracks aircraft, facilitates air traffic control, and generates real-time meteorological data ensuring pilots receive precise weather and navigational support for safe takeoffs and landings. Exercise Turbo Distribution is a recurring, joint U.S. Transportation Command field training exercise that prepares a ready force for geographic combatant commands to open a seaport and move all arriving materiel from the port of debarkation to a forward node or the end-user.
