The United States Marine Corps Body Bearers, Bravo Company, Marine Barracks Washington, fold the national ensign for retired U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Jerome T. Hagen’s funeral at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, June 8, 2026. Hagen flew 486 combat sorties during his two tours of duty in Vietnam, and earned the Silver Star Medal, two Bronze Star Medals, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and numerous Air Medals. He was promoted to Brigadier General and earned the Defense Superior Service Medal and the Legion of Merit prior to his retirement in 1982.
