U.S. Army Reserve Lt. Col. Alex Kostin, 7th Mission Support Command, is recognized during a retirement ceremony at Daenner Kaserne Chapel, Kaiserslautern, Germany, May 16, 2026. Kostin retired after more than 20 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserve, serving in a variety of legal, international law, and national security law assignments throughout the United States and Europe. A native of Moscow, Russia, Kostin immigrated to the United States in 1991, became a U.S. citizen, and fulfilled his goal of serving as an officer in the U.S. Army.
