A Mobile Retardant Base is parked and ready for training at Jeffco Air Base in Broomfield, Colorado, during Operation Sky Hammer. The mobile bases provide operational flexibility in wildland firefighting efforts by delivering up to 21,000 gallons of retardant per hour, with the capability to travel and set up within 24 hours wherever aircraft are needed.
