A University of Michigan student prepares his team’s vehicle to begin the Autonomous Navigation course at the 33rd annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition June 1, 2026, at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Each year at IGVC, scientists and engineers from the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center challenge student teams from all over the world to design, build, and test autonomous vehicles against real-world constraints and rigorous performance standards.
