875th Engineer Battalion - Demo Operations Underway!
Today, Soldiers from the 875th Engineer Battalion, 87th Troop Command are conducting demolition operations as part of their Annual Training 2026 at Camp Robinson, Arkansas.
These engineers are executing confidence charges — a basic demolition training exercise using a standardized C4 explosive block that allows Soldiers to safely practice preparing, placing, and detonating charges, building both technical proficiency and mental confidence.
After the confidence charges they also detonate Shape charges which is intended to create a hole straight down in order to place a Crater charge which creates exactly that, a huge crater. This charge serves a variety of purposes for engineers to use.
This essential training ensures our engineers remain ready to support any mission — whether clearing obstacles, breaching, or enabling maneuver on the battlefield.
