We were honored to host the Secretary of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Bede Corry, and New Zealand Ambassador to South Korea, Her Excellency Dawn Bennet, at the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) for a Joint Security Area (JSA) orientation led by UNC Deputy Commander Lieutenant General Scott Winter.
The visit provided a first-hand look at the JSA, the critical security challenges in the region, and the vital role of the UNC in maintaining stability and upholding the Armistice Agreement.
New Zealand has been a steadfast UNC member nation since 1950, and their shared commitment to peace and security on the Korean Peninsula remains stronger than ever.
