NAVAL AIR FACILITY (NAF) ATSUGI, Japan (May 7, 2026) - An aircrewman looks out onto Japan during the in-flight reading of orders and assumption of command prior to the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 12 Change of Command ceremony to be held onboard NAF Atsugi. NAF Atsugi supports the combat readiness of Commander, Fleet Air Western Pacific, Commander, Carrier Air Wing FIVE (CVW) 5, HSM 51 and 23 other tenant commands, and provides logistic support, coordination, and services to units assigned to the Western Pacific.
