Leaders assigned to the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Arkansas Army National Guard, observe a counter-unmanned aircraft system demonstration during annual training at Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center, Arkansas, June 2, 2026. During the demonstration, Soldiers assigned to the brigade’s Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems Squadron operated Skydio X10 drones, while other Soldiers operated Black Hornet unmanned aircraft systems to support a live demonstration of emerging counter-UAS technology.
The demonstration allowed brigade leadership to observe Echodyne’s active radar technology as it detected, tracked and located unmanned aircraft systems in the air. The event also showcased how modern counter-UAS capabilities can support units as unmanned aircraft continue to change the operating environment across military operations.
The 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Arkansas Army National Guard, conducted annual training from May 30, 2026, to June 13, 2026, at Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center to build readiness, strengthen individual and collective proficiency, and prepare Soldiers for future state and federal missions. Annual training provides units the opportunity to validate combat skills, refine leader development and evaluate emerging technologies that help the Arkansas National Guard remain ready, modern and adaptive in a changing battlefield environment.
