U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Hunter Jacobs, a finance technician with X-Ray Company, Headquarters and Service Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, rappels down a tower during training in El Centro, Calif., June 3, 2026. The training provided Marines and U.S. Border Patrol agents an opportunity to strengthen interagency partnerships while conducting operations in a controlled environment. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
