Paratroopers assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division stand in formation during the Airborne Troops and Crew Memorial ceremony at Picauville, France on June 2, 2026. The ceremony recognizes the Airborne troops and the aircrew of the five C-47s from the 9th Airforce that crashed in the town of Picauville. Eighty-two years after the Paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division jumped into Normandy on D-Day and helped change the course of history, their legacy keep living on through every All American who proudly wears the AA patch and carries forward the same spirit of courage, sacrifice, and commitment.
