A landing craft from the Royal Thai Navy ship HTMS Sichang tows Unmanned Surface Vehicle threat targets from Sattahip Naval Base to Hat Yao Beach in Rayong province, Thailand, during Exercise Cobra Gold 2026, Feb. 28, 2026. U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s J7 Pacific Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability provided the maritime and aerial drone targets to enhance realism for U.S., Thai, and Republic of Korea forces. During amphibious operations, tactical assault kit devices were placed aboard vessels to track their movement in near real time. Throughout Cobra Gold, PMTEC ensured TAK inputs were fused with other mission systems, enabling faster, more confident decision making across command levels. Cobra Gold is the Indo-Pacific’s largest annual military exercise, co-hosted by the U.S. and Thailand to strengthen regional partnerships and demonstrate commitment to Indo-Pacific security.
