The 410th Contracting Brigade hosted an activation ceremony for the Theater Contracting Center – Americas at the Fort Sam Houston Posth Theater on June 1, 2026.
Col. Kenneth Bulthuis, 410th CSB Commander officiated the ceremony where Lt. Col. Jacob Austin assumed responsibilities of the newel activated Contracting Center.
Theater Contracting Center – Americas (TCC-A) was established to execute the expanded Western Hemisphere mission in support of the United States Army Western Hemisphere Command (USAWHC), the TCC-A succeeds the Regional Contracting Center-Americas, which previously supported the former ARSOUTH.
On April 19th, 2008, the 410th Contracting Support Brigade and the Army Contracting Agency–The Americas merged, creating the Regional Contracting Center–Americas as a key subordinate unit. Since then, this center has been a cornerstone in providing rear-detachment support to Regional Contracting Offices, and in training 51C Officers and NCOs for operational contracting missions throughout Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
