U.S. Airmen with the Five Star Brass, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Air Forces Africa Band, play music for school children during a musical exchange at the Ecole Primaire Les Hauts Champs in Carentan-les-Marais, France, June 2, 2026. The exchange highlights our shared values of free cultural expression while building a connection between U.S. service members and a new generation in Normandy. From June 2-7, 2026, more than 600 U.S. Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Guardians and Airmen from roughly 17 units historically linked to D-Day made up Joint Task Force 82 and participated in over 90 commemorative events throughout the Normandy Region.
