NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (June 1, 2026) - Damage Controlmen 3rd Class Luke Bryant, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bulkeley (DDG 84), embraces his spouse after the ship’s return to its homeport of Naval Station Rota, Spain, June 1, 2026. Bulkeley returned from a scheduled deployment in support of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa strategic objectives and U.S., Allied, and partner interests. As the "Gateway to the Mediterranean,” NAVSTA Rota provides U.S. and Allied forces a strategic hub for operations wherever and whenever they are needed. NAVSTA Rota is a force multiplier, capable of promptly deploying and sustaining combat-ready forces through land, air, and sea, supporting warfighters and their families, and fostering the U.S. and Spanish relationship.
