U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Diego Buenrostro, right, and Lance Cpl. Deshawn Cooper, both low altitude air defense gunners with 12th Littoral Anti-Air Battalion, 12th Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, participate in the run portion of the push,pull,swim, andrun event during Heritage Day at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, May 21, 2026. Marines commemorated Heritage Day through a variety of physical and team-building competitions, including tug-of-war, kickball, dodgeball, an obstacle course, and other morale-building events. The activities fostered camaraderie, strengthened unit cohesion and improved overall teamwork. Buenrostro is a native of Illinois and Cooper is a native of Texas.
