David Faehnle, commandant of Naval District Washington, speaks during a press conference announcing the participating ships and air show performers for Sail 250 Maryland and Air Show Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland, May 28, 2026. Faehnle represented the U.S. Navy in announcing the U.S. and Canadian naval vessels scheduled to participate in the event. Hosted by the Living Classrooms Foundation and Sail 250 Maryland and Air Show Baltimore presented by Northrop Grumman, the press conference included state, city, and county officials and community leaders. Taking place June 24–30, 2026, Sail 250 Maryland and Air Show Baltimore is part of a nationwide maritime celebration featuring one of the largest international gatherings of tall ships and military vessels visiting five major U.S. port cities.
