U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Reuben Dominguez, 163d Regional Training Site superintendent, California Air National Guard, practices public speaking before a weeklong Rapid Damage Repair course at March Air Reserve Base, Calif., May 19, 2026. To strengthen the team, RTS instructors conduct monthly professional development sessions focused on communication, leadership, and public speaking to deliver the best curriculum to students attending their courses. During the RADR course, Airmen learn to execute full-scale crater repair procedures, beginning with debris removal and upheaval marking before progressing through excavation, backfilling, compaction, and surface restoration. The RTS instructors measured both completion time and structural performance, conducting repair quality criteria testing to validate durability under projected aircraft loads.
