Honing operational readiness support at NMRTC Bremerton …Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command Bremerton latest Battle-Ready Training focused on Tactical Combat Casualty Care fundamentals. Training organizers, under the direction of Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Adam Redman, set up fast-paced tourniquet lanes with corpsmen paired up to compete against each other. The drill provided the opportunity to hone such skills as applying one-handed self-aid, buddy-tourniquet application, casualty drags and zero-vision tourniquet application. As corpsmen moved from one step to the next, instructors peppered the participants with demanding TCCC questions on such topics as dealing with burn victims and wounded suffering from shock to test their recall – and multitasking, flexible ability - while under physical stress (Official Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Jennifer Benedict, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs office).
