U.S. Service members assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border demonstrate detection and monitoring tools for Senate Armed Services Committee staff members Lauren Johnson and Eric Trager near Nogales, Ariz., May 19, 2026. Soldiers showcased and explained the importance of three different detection and monitoring tools—the Long Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System, the Dronebuster Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft System, and the Laser Target Locator Module 2—that have aided substantially to the southern border mission.
