The U.S. Navy Victims’ Legal Counsel program recently hosted an intensive 10-day certification course at the Naval Justice School in Newport, R.I. Bringing together personnel from the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, the course prepares judge advocates and paralegals to provide expert, trauma-informed advocacy to warfighters across the Fleet. From collaborating with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service to hearing from medical experts, participants are now equipped to provide top-tier legal support to their clients and advance readiness across the enterprise.
