Command Sgt. Maj. Keith Devos, senior enlisted adviser to the commander, 42nd Military Police Brigade (left), Washington State Lt. Gov. Brad Owen (middle) and Col. David L. Chase, commander, 42nd MP Bde. attended the annual Pierce County Law Enforcement Memorial ceremony May 8, 2012, at Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood. The annual commemoration occurs during National Police Week paying homage to those law enforcement officers who gave their lives serving the community. The event honored and remembered 35 Pierce County law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty since 1891 and 24 soldiers of the 42nd MP Bde., who were killed in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom since 2005.
