This week, we had the honor of celebrating the remarkable service and leadership of Col. Ed Burke during a heartfelt farewell ceremony surrounded by colleagues, family, and teammates.
As our Deputy Commander for Nursing, Col. Burke made a lasting impact through his dedication to patient care, mentorship, and support of Soldiers, families, and staff across the organization.
In addition to receiving an award recognizing his service and contributions during his time here, Col. Burke was presented with multiple candy-filled leis — a fitting sendoff as he and his family prepare for their next adventure in Hawaii.
We are grateful for the example he set and the positive influence he leaves behind at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. We wish Col. Burke and his family continued success, happiness, and safe travels as they begin this exciting new chapter. Mahalo!
