Dr. Scott Hutchins, Deputy Secretary for Research, Education, and Economics (REE), visit some exhibits during the 2026 Agricultural Outlook Forum, Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, Virginia, Feb. 20, 2026. The 2026 Program featured a presentation on the outlook for agricultural markets and trade by USDA Chief Economist Justin Benavidez, a plenary panel of distinguished guest speakers which discussed agricultural trade under Trump’s trade agenda and an address from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brook Rollins. The program also included 22 breakout sessions covering a wide range of current issues such as commodity and food price forecasts, farm income, U.S. and global agricultural trade, the future of biofuels, and AI applications in agriculture. The in-person event also included a networking lunch, reception, dinner, and exhibit booths hosted by various USDA agencies, highlighting their missions, recent USDA-funded innovations, and other key programs and activities.
