U.S. Navy Petty Officer Third Class Trevor Thorson, a corpsman assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 13, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fires a pistol downrange during a qualification course at Range 223-Bravo at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 4, 2026. Marines and Sailors conducted Tables 3-6 and pistol qualifications at Range 223B in preparation for a future deployment. The combat marksmanship ranges test Marines in a variety of scenarios, including unknown distance drills and day and night shoots, increasing weapons handling and marksmanship proficiency.
