SEATTLE (May 16, 2026) — Lt. Gen. Matthew W. McFarlane, commanding general of I Corps and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, administers the oath of enlistment to more than 100 future service members on the field at T-Mobile Park during the Seattle Mariners’ Salute to Armed Services Night before a game against the San Diego Padres. The ceremony recognized the commitment of the nation’s newest volunteers before they begin military service and highlighted the connection between the armed forces and the communities they serve. Navy Talent Acquisition Group Pacific Northwest manages more than 34 enlisted and officer recruiting stations throughout Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska; its mission is to recruit the next generation of Sailors from the Pacific Northwest, focusing on high-quality candidates who will enhance the readiness of America’s Navy and inspire future leadership.
