    First responders from across the U.S. Army and Marine Corps participate in a joint-force Domestic Violence Intervention Training (DVIT) course at Fort Irwin, California, May 4-8, 2026. The week-long course utilized classroom instruction and scenario-based practical exercises to strengthen de-escalation skills, victim-centered response methods, and multidisciplinary coordination among military police, investigators, and Family Advocacy Program personnel to ensure that Families receive the highest quality of a trained military police force and quality of life for Soldiers, Marines, and their Families.
