1st. Lt. Matthew Mackey from the 186th Security Forces Squadron helps conduct and oversee Area Security Operations (ASO) training in a contested environment at the Meridian Public Safety Training Facility, commonly known as Sandflat.
During the exercise, defenders established 360-degree security within a designated timeframe to secure a landing zone for rotary aircraft operations. ASO prepares Airmen to secure locations, equipment and personnel in a timely manner to support mission success.
