Fort Campbell senior leaders and veterans await the grand opening of the Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, May 15, 2026.
The museum honors the legacy of service and sacrifice of soldiers who have served in the 101st Airborne Division, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) and the Fort Campbell community. Developed over generations and fully funded through private support, the museum continues efforts to complete exhibits and establish an outdoor artifact park featuring historic aircraft and military vehicles.
The grand opening served as the kickoff event for Week of the Eagles, held May 15-21 at Fort Campbell. This year’s observance commemorates the 35th anniversary of Operation Desert Storm and celebrates the division’s history, legacy and commitment to service.
