Service members with the Arkansas National Guard learn from Forward Observers how to Call for Fire during a training at the DC Armory, May 14, 2026. Forward observers demonstrated target identification, fire mission procedures and radio communication techniques during the training exercise. The training helped service members maintain proficiency in indirect fire coordination and reinforced unit readiness while still in support of Joint Task Force–District of Columbia operations.
