WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. – (May 8, 2026) – Senior Airman Kendall Cubero, an electrician assigned to the 439th Airlift Wing’s electrical and environmental shop, inspects a liquid oxygen cart during a routine maintenance check. Cubero was recently selected for the highly competitive Leaders Encouraging Airmen Development (LEAD) program, earning a coveted appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy where he will train to become a commissioned officer.
