Students learn to overcome fears by descending a rappelling tower during Resilience Education and Adventures for Life (REAL) day camp on Camp Williams, Utah, May 9, 2026. REAL is an annual event hosted by Utah State University’s Resilience Education Program and the Utah National Guard Counterdrug Program, in coordination with the Department of Public Safety. During the event, youth from Salt Lake County participate in exercises designed to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork, through hands-on challenges, problem-solving activities, and personal development instruction.
