FORT BRAGG, N.C. – A U.S. Army Special Operations Civil Affairs (ARSOF CA) soldier briefs his plan to execute land navigation to his teammates at the most recent Best Civil Affairs competition. ARSOF CA holds this annual Best Civil Affairs competition to test soldiers in warrior tasks, battle drills, and civil affairs-specific capabilities to determine the best across five ARSOF CA battalions. Each battalion fields a team of three to four civil affairs-specific soldiers (38 Series) and another team of support MOS soldiers. This competition fortifies the esprit de corps of the ARSOF CA regiment and demonstrates Army readiness to meet any challenge the nation faces. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Johnathan Patterson)
