Coast Guard Incident Management Division, and local partners respond to fire on non-operational natural gas platform, nine miles off the coast of Santa Barbara, May 11, 2026. Responders and teams reported there are currently no indications of oil being released from the platform into the water, and no current impacts to wildlife or the public - an investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the incident (Courtesy photo).
