Staff Sgt. Trevor Tucker and Staff Sgt. Benjamin Noel, U.S. Fire Protection Airmen with the Gowen Field Fire Department perform rope rescue training, at Shaw Mountain Boise, Idaho, May 8, 2026. The training was conducted to provide the firefighters with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely locate a victim using a mapped grid system and location indicators, then use the rope rescue system to lower the victim to ground transportation below.
