Multiple U.S. Army units across the world send their best soldiers to compete in the Gen. Raymond T. Odierno Best Redleg Competition, hosted by the Fires Center of Excellence on Fort Sill, Oklahoma on May 4, 2026. The competition is organized and executed by the 428th Field Artillery brigade, Best Redleg teams are comprised of organic, fully qualified field artillery sections and are selected by their unit leadership to represent their respective divisions or brigades.
