Soldiers from the 586th Field Hospital conducted a Walking Blood Bank during a Field Training Exercise, demonstrating their ability to rapidly collect, type, and transfuse blood in an austere, expeditionary environment.
Laboratory personnel performed blood typing while fellow Soldiers donated within a field medical tent, reinforcing readiness to sustain lifesaving care under combat conditions.
The training also included hands-on clinical scenarios to strengthen surgical team proficiency and coordination across roles.
