NAVAL STATION MAYPORT, Fla. (May 4, 2026) Sailors assigned to the Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Wichita (LCS 13) return to Naval Station Mayport, following a six-month deployment supporting U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). USNORTHCOM’s Atlantic Watch mission restores territorial integrity at the U.S. southern border, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to border security by enhancing maritime efforts and supporting interagency collaboration.
