Joe Cahill, commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic, awards the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal to Fire Controlman 2nd Class Dexter McFarland aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99) during a visit to the warship at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, April 28, 2026. Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic is responsible for manning, training, and equipping assigned surface forces and shore activities, ensuring a capable and combat-ready force to support U.S. national interests.
